Top 5

What kind of a Blogger am I, who leaves my readers hanging for 2 weeks without a post? Not a good one! But I do have a post of my favorite and least favorite Oscar outfits. Even though I only watch the beginning half, I still think that some were dressed better than the others. I have a few more posts lined up after this one, so inspiration is back.

Overall I think the ladies kept their looks on the safe side, and they looked very feminine and pretty. I'm going to rate five looks out of 5, and I would love to hear your opinions on the following ladies as well, some on the safe side, some that really stood out.

Pregnant in a Rodarte plum dress, Natalie Portman looked cute, but I think she could have worn something different that would have perhaps excentuated her belly a little more. The collar is lovely, but the train looks a little frumpy. The shoes and accessories all worked together nicely. I must say that I'm very happy she won for 'Actress in a Leading Role'. Well deserved, Nat. This look gets a 3.5/5 rating in my opinion.

Michelle Williams looked dazzling in this Chanel Haute Couture gown. This very simple and classic look works well with her hair and minimal amount of accessories. This look gets a 4/5 rating.

Such a unique gown that I do not think many other ladies could pull off, managed to work for Cate Blanchett. I like the pop of yellow against the delicate lilac color. Feminine and unique, I give Cate a 4.5/5 in the Givenchy Haute Couture gown.

Jennifer Lawrence (who I just found out was) played it way too safe. Sure she looks great in Calvin Klein, but it's the Oscar's and you have to show the critics something special, or you won't spark a conversation. Lovely, but too much on the safe side, gets a rating of 2.5/5.

Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa. Look at the Salvatore Ferragamo heels on this young lady. My first thought when I saw this on the red carpet was 'Ballerina!', and it instantly reminded me of the dress Miley Cyrus wore to The Academy Awards last year. Hailee is going to have a breakout career, I can already see it coming. The ballerina bun, headband, shoes and the gown of course give this look a perfect 5/5 rating!

So there we have it, a quick recap of 5 outfits from the Oscar's. A couple others that I enjoyed were Mila Kunis and Jennifer Hudson.

Q: Did you watch the awards? I happened to only watch the first half because I got bored. I really just wanted to see Natalie Portman win an award, but I stopped watching before it happened.

Q: Who had your favorite gown? Least favorite?

Next up I'm doing an outfit of the day post from last Friday!

"it's the freakin' weekend baby, i'm about to have me some fun"

holla! whose excited for the weekend? I know I am. I have a lot of things to do, and if you have no plans, maybe my list will give you some ideas of what to do to kill time. I've included some pictures that I've come across on Tumblr that I love. That site is more addicting than a bag of chocolate chips!

1. Baking Valentines Day treats (even though I can not stand the Hallmark holiday).

2. Cleaning my room! When my room is clean, I feel like my entire life is on track.

3. Typing up all of my notes. Organization is key!

4. I'll make a few Polyvore sets, hopefully you guys aren't too bored with them :)

5. Get a soy caramel latte from Starbucks, just because (I wish the Starbucks barista's made pretty designs on latte cups, even if they're in the paper ones).

5. And last but most certainly not least, I'll get a good sleep!

* Today (Feb.11) also happens to be the one year anniversary of Alexander McQueen's death. Such an inspirational figure, such a sad ending. RIP, you lovely genius, rest in peace.

Hot Hot Camel Heat

If you are one of the lucky one's to be experiencing these nearly freezing climates (or not so lucky...), you must want to stay warm, right? Besides, hot tea only lasts until the last sip, unfortunately.

Tomorrow morning I leave for Quebec City with my friends for a weekend trip and one of my main concerns is staying warm. Canada is freeeeeezing at the moment! Some days are warm, but lately I have been shivering my calories off.

Since the Camel color is a trendy color coming up, I browsed through Polyvore (my latest obsession) and chose my favorite camel colored items. Leather jackets, capes, cardigans, oh the outerwear is precious. But my favorite item has to be the Balenciaga bag, always has and always will be.

Q: Do you like the camel trend?
What's your dream bag?

Have a good weekend, lovelies!
