Pretty in Pink // Forever 21 Haul

sweater and necklace: forever 21 // jeans and boots : american eagle

Oh hey there. I'm going to start off  by asking you a question: how are we already into February? Feb. 5th to be exact. Ever since I've started blogging, I feel like time is going by so quickly. I think it has something to do with me being in school now, and everything feels so crammed together and rushed - it makes time go by much quicker.

Time doesn't exist, clocks do. I read that somewhere last weekend, and it's stuck with me ever since. Speaking of time... when I don't have enough of it before class, I tend to pick up big, kit sweaters to wear. Since most of mine are over sized and made with a soft, knit material, they're the epitome of winter comfort. Bib necklaces have become a recent obsession of mine, too. I bought one from H&M about 3 years ago, wore it once and it's been hanging on a hook in my closet ever since. Now, I'm seeing them on many people, and in many places, just like Forever 21 - the store I bought the gold, geometric one from [pictured above]. I like the different textures on each piece of metal, and I think it's toned down enough to pair with simple outfits that simply needs a touch of adornment. I'd say it's great for that over sized, knit sweater kind of a day. Lastly, I paired it with my beige, suede cowboyish boots to complete my Monday look.

Here's an up close shot of my Valentine's Day inspired nail polish design. It's nothing intricate, but I painted a white heart ['White On' by Sally Hansen] on top of a burgundy shade ['Skyfall' by OPI]using a stencil cut out on washi tape!

Last buy not least... I thought I would squeeze in a recent video featuring a shopping trip to Forever 21 [or a haul, I suppose]! I don't usually shop there because it's usually a miss on the hit or miss scale... but I browsed though their website and there were many things I wanted to see in person for further inspection - you know quality control purposes and such, ha.

Enjoy, and let me know what your favorite spring trends are!

  10. Knit sweaters with jeans are the best, I usually gravitate towards those in the winter time too, and a bib necklace adds a bit of sparkle.

I find F21 so hit or miss too, although sometimes you can find some really nice dresses and blazers! Looks like you got a great haul too! xx
